Get Ready Tyler!!!

Tyler you better get ready for Aunt Jess and Uncle Calvin! We are so excited to see you! We have a lot of goodies for you so we can have lots of fun in the car! I hope that you are helping your mommy pack up, because we don't want her to go crazy! She had the tendency to do that some times! Oh yeah I hope you are ready to see Boomer he has been asking about you, and wants to give you all the kisses in the world!

One Page

Well yesterday I got one scrapbook page done. I really liked doing this page, it was a lot of fun, and brings back lots of memories when Ty was so tiny.

Today I got a lot of my packing done, just have to get the little things packed now. I should be able to do that over the next couple days.

Mommy's Turn

Well Tyler I guess it's my turn. I want you to know that you are going to have to get ready for lots and lots of kisses. I know when we get back to Michigan all everyone is going to want to do is kiss those cute little cheeks. So show me your pucker face...

Tyler,

Sorry bud i don't have a picture to send to you yet, i'll have to take one and have your mother put it on here for me since she is the whiz on this. If you are trying to think of something to do today i was thinking you could play your video game that aunt jess got you so you can show her how good you are at it, and you need to start getting used to multi-tasking so you should practice using the phone grandma jan got you i recommend the shoulder pinch (sorry grandpa left an extra bluetooth but your phone isn't compatible). Also make sure mommy doesn't eat any of those bars that she made for breakfast, but if she does than tell her you deserve some, actually i would like to see you eat it and watch you be a crazy little boy. But please refrain from climbing off the back of the couch and standing up in your rocking chair.(I am impressed with your balance though) Anyways keep momma in line, and listen to her, yea life isn't fair, i know But we love you, you'll get it someday.

Almost There!!

Hey Bri I figured this out! This will be really cool. I don't want to start a fight with you and Mike:( so I will write to you guys! So only 4 more days that is to cool. I'm already mostly packed, all the clothes are packed now I'm worrying about the little things I might forget. Mom would be proud of me and my notes I have laying around the house on what I need to do and pack. Oh my goodness I turned into my mom.

Well we got iPod shuffles from one of my clients at work and it is really cool, Calvin is like a little kid at Christmas time with a new toy! Oh yeah Bri did you want to say a toast at the wedding? I'm going to ask Meagan also so if you both want to say such nice things about me I would have no objection to that. Well I better get to bed I have a long day waiting for me tomorrow. I'm glad that I figured this out!

Good Day

Well today was a good day for Tyler. He did great and didn't cry much at all. He was lots of fun. Even slept for 3 hours at naptime too. Hopefully this becomes the norm. I was able to cook dinner with out him crying at my feet, and actually got to start a little packing. While he was napping I got two cards done. FUN! I went on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ and tried a couple new things. One was the linen look and I really like how it turned out. I'm hoping to do a couple scrapbook pages tomorrow. I have started a 8x8 book for Tyler's hospital pictures. Trying to keep with the same color scheme and narrow down the pictures to the ones I really like. There is a crop I want to go to on Friday night. I need to make sure that I have most of my stuff packed though, going to try to do that the next couple of days.

Yesterday I spent most of the morning and early afternoon in Madison (it's like Novi and about a 15min drive). Had to do a little wedding shopping. Decided to stop at a couple other stores that are only out that way too.

Mike and I were thinking of a way to try to get you guys to post on here. What do we have to do...start a fight or something? How about this...send a message to Tyler. Post a picture for him to see and something you just have to tell him. He likes looking at the computer, so I think he will enjoy it.

Sunny Sunday Afternoon

Relaxing on a nice Sunday afternoon. After church we grilled a couple hot dogs and then put Tyler down for his nap. Now we are just waiting for him to wake up so we can go out and do something. We are going to check out a couple of open houses and then plan on going to church this evening.
Last night we had my Dad and Angie over to grill some steaks. That was fun. We had to test our new grill...it passed!
I put some pictures up of the park (go figure) from the other night. Tyler has so much fun at the parks now that he is walking. He even tried the rock wall. He went down a big slide all by himself too! Oh the cutest picture is of him hanging from a little bar, it is so cute. He laughs while he is hanging. It's so funny. The park has become more and more fun. He used to just like to swing and swing...which got boring for me, but now he like to do everything. It is so cute to watch him get so excited about little things.
Only one more week till I get to go home!! Yeah I'm so excited! I have to pack! I have to make a list of all the little things I don't think of. Jessica and Calvin are coming up on Saturday and then we are going to all pile into my dad's car and drive up together. We felt a little more comfortable in his car than mine, and also all going in one car. Less gas and more drivers. ROAD TRIP. I will have to remember to take pictures so I can scrap it!
Well I just heard Tyler stirring.

My little 'Booger'

I guess since we are down here and he doesn't have boogers plastered to his face he doesn't deserve that nickname, but since he gets into everything the name still sticks. I'm glad to see my boy is turning into a stuntman, and loving it. Just watching him try things with out regard is an example to me. He has to look at everything as a learning experience, why shouldn't I? He doesn't take much regard for failure or he would have never started walking. To see him fall 99 times and get up a 100 times, why can't I. My son only 15 months old is teaching me so much, being a parent is great and humbling. I love it.

New Favorite Dessert

Yesterday I made our new favorite dessert/snack. Incredibles!!! YUM! It's like a peanut butter cup! I know you all have probably had them before, but this is the first time I have made them. Mike loves them. They are like half gone. Probably not the best thing for me to be eating before my sisters wedding, but oh well. I tried the dress on the other day and it still fits. Well I thought I would share the recipe with you. It is from my Aunt Karen.

Incredibles:

3/4 Cup melted butter or marg.

2 Cup graham cracker crumbs

1 1/2 Cup creamy peanut butter

1 3/4 Cup confectioners sugar

Mix well - spread in a 9x13 pan.

Melt 12oz (2 cups) Chocolate Chips. Spread on top. Refrigerate - cut into 1x1 inch squares.

Other than that not much else has been going on around here. I think Tyler's new favorite thing to do is cry. He cries, and cries, and cries all morning long. He is perfectly happy the rest of the day, but for 2 hours in the morning all he wants to do is cry. I try playing with him, I gave him Tylenol in case it was his teeth, but no...still cries. He did this yesterday too. Who knows, maybe he's not a morning person, I don't know. Well tomorrow's a new day and hopefully it will be a better one for us.

Accident Prone

Well I think Tyler is becoming more and more accident prone. We had two accidents today, and probably would have been more if I wasn't following him around the rest of the day. He hit himself in the mouth with one of his toys, and hit his head on the sidewalk outside the front door. Poor thing. He is such a boy...heads right for the stairs without slowing down. I think he is going to give me a heart attack.
Went outside today for a little bit, trying to find pinecones for my sisters wedding. It is getting warmer out. Wore short sleeves and capris, fun!
Mike is putting together a grill his dad got for him. We had hot dogs tonight and he wished he had the grill up to make them on it. Now it will be ready for next time. He had to wait to wait till Tyler went to bed or else he would want to help.
Speaking of Tyler going to bed...I have moved his bedtime earlier. I don't know if he is growing or what, but he has been sleeping in till 9:00!!! I usually put him down at 8, so that's 13 hours!! And he takes a 3 hour afternoon nap. Well I'm going to see how he does putting him down a little earlier so maybe he will wake up earlier...Not that I'm complaining too much :)
Well I had a rough day with Tyler so I'm going to relax. Thanks for reading!!

Hello There

Well I think that we like this blog so we are going to start using it more often. I am even trying to get Mike to use it too, and I think he will (since it's not myspace). I am going to put some links for pictures, of Tyler of course, and probably some of my scrap pages.
We are getting excited about Jessica's wedding, only a couple more weeks!! I am going to be there for a week before and a week after the wedding, so i'm excited about that too.
The weather has been colder here, so Ty and I haven't been going to the park lately. It is supposed to warm up by next week I think, so that will be nice.
Well I am going to work on getting some pictures up here so I will update more later.
