Oh, I have a blog?

Oh, yeah, this old thing! Kinda have forgotten about it the past few months. Well we have been super busy since Tyler started school and this little one has momma super tired!

baby

“For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him” -1 Samuel 1:27

It was so fun to see the baby moving, or swimming as Kalen says, all around. We went in for a scan a few weeks later than normal so we saw hands, feet, eyes, everything! It is truly a miracle how the Lord forms these little ones in your womb. The difference from week 8 to week 10 is AMAZING!!! This scan is from last week when the baby was measuring 12 weeks. I had a little scare, but everything is just fine now!

The due date is March 28th and we are hoping that it will indeed be a March baby. All mine have been late, so we will see. And NO we will not be finding out the gender. Mike and I both LOVE the surprise in the delivery room!

So that is what has been going on in the Taylor household. I am working on getting some pictures off my camera and onto the blog. Winking smile

Little Pumpkin

Well my little pumpkin likes it here in Mommy's tummy. Today is the due date, but I think baby might just stay in there a couple more days. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and I'm about 3cm, which is better than last week. We are going in Sunday night to start being induced, so we should have a baby Monday! We can't wait to find out if we are having another little boy or a girl! When we are so close to the end like this I am so glad that we waited to find out! It's like getting the biggest surprise present ever! I'm looking forward to getting some last minute things done tomorrow and then relaxing on Mother's Day. I hope you all have a great weekend, and the next time I update we will be a family of four!

One More Week

Well this is it, one week to go! My baby is now a mini watermelon. This past week we had it rough. It started out Sunday night with Tyler getting sick right at bedtime and we didn't get to sleep until about 1am. The next day he was doing much better though. Then on Tuesday morning I woke up sick, and was sick all day. I became dehydrated which started contractions and had to go to the hospital to be put on an IV. As we were walking into the hospital Mike became sick too. NO FUN! I'm thankful that the fluids stopped my contractions and I didn't have to deliver and meet this new little baby in that condition! So after a few days of recovery it seems that we are back on track.

I had a doctors appointment this morning and I am about 2cm dilated. So nothing new again. We did schedule a tentative induction for the 12th. So at least we have an end date in mind.

We had a good visit with my sister this past weekend.Thankfully she was here to help out with Tyler when we went to the hospital. Tyler loved hanging out with his Aunt Meagan! She played outside with him, helped him with his train, and even helped him paint for the first time! I will post some painting pictures later...it was cute! -Brianna

38 Weeks!

Well here I am 38 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy has gone by so fast, I guess that's what having a busy two year old will do for you! Tyler isn't as excited about my baby belly as he used to be. I think he wonders if there really is a baby in there. I tell him the baby is going to come out soon and sometimes he gets excited and then other times he just says NO!

My doctor's appointment went well this morning. Still the same as last week though (1 1/2cm), so no exciting news to report. I thought for sure after all those contractions I would be a little further along. That's okay, we don't want to have this baby too early....my first round of help doesn't arrive till the 18th!

Sometimes I still find myself trying to grasp that I'm married and have a son. Now I can't believe that in just a couple short weeks we are going to have another little one around. I'm so thankful for the family that the Lord has blessed me with!
Mike is going to a Men's Retreat with our church tonight. They are going to be camping out under the stars. Tyler and I have plans to stay at the Elmore's while Mike is gone, just in case I go into labor. This will be Tyler's first sleepover at a friends house (even if mom is chaperoning)! We are excited! Jamie and I are even going to try and get some scrapping in after the kids are asleep!

My sister, Meagan, will be coming in town Saturday for a couple of days. We are looking forward to that! Tyler hasn't seen Aunt Meagan since Thanksgiving!

Have a great weekend!

Fun at the Park

This whole week the weather has just been beautiful and Tyler has been able to play outside a lot! Yesterday Tyler and I met daddy at the park after work.
Tyler loves going down the slide.
It was so hot out, that Tyler had to stop for water after each slide down.
Then Daddy pushed him on the swing. He kept saying, "Daaaddd....pppuuuusshh," and laughing after each time. Daddy pushes a little higher than Mom usually does!
He needed more water after that!
Mike had a soccer game afterwards and Tyler and I were going to try and go watch, but it was too hot for me (and baby) so we went home to the air conditioning.

In other news things are moving along with this pregnancy. I had a little bit of a false alarm this past weekend. It didn't include going to the hospital, but I think this baby was letting me know that he/she could be here anytime! So I've been busy getting things done around the house all week! I think the nesting has finally set in. I go to the Doctor tomorrow so we will see how things are going.

We also are getting closer to picking out a boys name, I don't want to tell you yet because it's still not definite. And the girls name....well we are still "debating" that!

37 Weeks and Still No Name!

Well today marks 37 weeks pregnant! The baby could safely be here at any time. I had a doctor's appointment this morning and things went very well. I am 1 1/2 cm dilated! This is good progress for me. With Tyler I went to the doctor a week overdue and still was still not dilating. I know that things could still be a ways off, but it is still exciting to realize that we are getting closer to meeting this new baby!

If this baby comes too soon though, it may not have a name!! Mike and I have still been going back and forth on names. We do have a girls name picked out, but are having a hard time agreeing on the spelling. And we are not having much luck with boys names. So now I am going to ask for your help.

2 things:

1. Which spelling do you like better for our girl name.
Kallen, Kallyn, or Kalen
We are pronouncing it Kal - en not Kay - len. The middle name will be Elizabeth.

2. Give us some suggestions for boys names. We need both a first and middle name.

So even if you read our blog and don't comment much, please leave us a comment and help us out! We may just have to bring the baby name book with us to the hospital!

33 Weeks!

Well here I am...33 weeks pregnant. I remember when I was posting the picture of my pregnancy test! I can't believe that this baby is coming so fast!

The pregnancy website is now comparing my baby to a pineapple! It also says this:
As your baby fills out even more of your belly, lots of things might start to change: Whereas before you were sashaying, you may find yourself waddling. Finding an easy position to sit in — let alone sleep — is becoming more of a challenge. And bumping into chairs and counters is par for the course.

Yeah that pretty much describes it! A waddle has definitely developed and I've been bumping into things for a few weeks now!

Here are a few things I miss at 33 weeks pregnant:
  • Being able to wash my feet without almost falling over. (Not to mention shaving my legs!)
  • Not having to carry the TUMS everywhere I go.
  • Laying on my stomach.
  • Clothes that fit.
  • Long hot bubble baths.
  • Walking straight.
  • Wearing cute shoes.
  • My "innie" belly button.

In other news I did some scrapping yesterday and finally finished up 2004! I know what you all are thinking..."She's still got 3 more years to go!" Well I did a lot of 2006 already, Tyler pictures, but I'm hopeful to get 2005 and the rest of 2006 done pretty fast!

Well here is one of my favorites that I did yesterday.

We hope you all have a great Easter weekend! We are taking a trip to the Birmingham Zoo tomorrow and of course stopping by Scrap Etc! I'll be updating with pictures next week!

Late Night Craving

This pregnant lady has been having cravings, mainly at night. Cookies, ice cream, mexican foods, spicy wings, anything that catches my eye! Well last night I saw a commercial for McDonald's and of course they had to show the fries. YUM! I said "ohhh....fries....that sounds soooo good right now!" Mike said that he would go get me some and I said "REALLY!?!"

Isn't he the best! I think so!

So at 9:00 last night I had some fries and a double Oreo McFlurry! YUM!!!

Thanks Hunny!

3rd Trimester

Well today marks the first day of my 3rd trimester! We are in the home stretch now....and can I emphasize the word "STRETCH!"
I went to the doctor and everything is still looking good. Dr. Callison said that history usually repeats itself and I will probably be a week late again. One website compared the baby's size to a Chinese cabbage.
I don't know? This baby feels a little bigger than that to me!?!?

Tyler loves to give the baby hugs... and kisses!Tyler also went to see the doctor this week for his 2 year visit and everything is looking good for him. He thought Dr. Jeff was going to check "his baby." Too cute!
Mike and I are going to enjoy an evening out ALONE!! Our church is providing day care for "Parent's Night Out" and we are so excited! We are going to get some steak and hopefully a yummy chocolate dessert!!

We hope you all have a good weekend!

100 Days!

Do you see the baby ticker at the top?? It says I only have 100 days to go!! Can you believe it? Mike and I were just realizing this weekend that we only have 3 months left before this baby gets here....well for me a little over 3 months I'm sure.

This baby sure is active! Seems like he/she wakes up when I want to go to sleep though.

Tyler is very aware of my growing belly. He definitely knows that there is a baby in there and gives it hugs and kisses all the time. Last night he even fed the baby with some of his play food and then pretended to give it a drink. Too cute!

Doctor appointments have been going well. I had the glucose test last week and everything came back normal so that's a blessing! I don't know if I could give up chocolate! My weight gain seems to be good and hopefully I won't be gaining as much as I did with Tyler.

This cartoon pretty much describes me lately! I guess I'm not the only one...that's comforting!

Ultrasound

Well we had our ultrasound today! I know you are all dying to know what it is soooooooooooooooo......

IT'S A......

BABY!!!

Hehe...guess ya'll are going to have to wait another 20 weeks. Come on, now you really didn't expect us to find out. We didn't even let the doctor look on the screen during that part, so there is absolutely no way for us to know before the big day.

It was fun to see the baby on the tv screen. Tyler went with us and he thought it was cool, but wasn't too overly excited about it. He likes hearing the heartbeat. The baby's hands were up by his/her face and it was fun to watch the baby move and feel it at the same time. Every thing is looking good and the Dr. is hoping for a baby the same size that Tyler was (just under 7lbs).

I will post more pictures from the holidays soon.

Thanksgiving wrap-up

We hope y'all had a good Thanksgiving, we sure enjoyed it! I had my mom and sister visiting from Michigan and made my first ever Thanksgiving dinner (with mom's help of course). Everything turned out great and we ate a lot!
Meagan helped with the potatoes.

Mom testing the food.

Mike watching the Lions.

Even Tyler helped with the cleanup.

Here are a couple pictures of the table decorations.

Of course the day after thanksgiving we got up to go shopping, we didn't up too early though, left about 6 am. I got some shopping done, but still need a few more ideas. I also got some decorations up. It was nice to have my mom's help and another "woman's" eye. (Mike thinks things look good anywhere).

In other news I have started to feel the baby move around in my belly these past few days. It has been exciting to actually start to 'feel' pregnant. I have been popping out a little more too...it's not fun finding clothes to wear. My maternity clothes are still too big and my regular clothes are too tight. I guess I'm in that awkward stage. I'm 4 months now only another 6 to go!!

Hope everyone is getting into the holiday season!

The Big Day is....

May 9th, 2008!!!

Mike and I went to the Doctor this morning and we got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. The baby is 9 weeks and 4 days old, which is more than we figured so the due date is sooner, which works for me! I'm sure I will be late again, but you never know!
Here is an ultrasound picture from this morning. We saw the baby move and his or her little arms and legs. It was so cute!

I haven't been feeling the greatest lately, but hopefully in a few more weeks that will all be over with.

We had a great trip to Michigan and had a good time at the wedding and celebrating my 27th birthday on Friday night. We went to Chucky Cheese! My first time ever having a birthday party there. The things mom's will do for the kids. We had a great time though, it's been a while since I played arcade games. I got a new camera for my birthday so after I get that all set up on here I will download some pictures for you all to see.

Hopefully it will not be so long inbetween my next posts. This is the longest I have sat down on the computer in a month or so. I will try to be better and keep you updated more often.

Here it is!

Okay here it is, for those of you who have been wondering what this special picture will be. I actually have a video and a picture so here it is....

I'm PREGNANT!!!!

A lot of you already know this exciting news, but just in case you didn't I wanted to make it public. I'm not good at keeping this a secret. I was going to wait until I had my first appointment, but I can't wait that long. I am about 6 weeks along now. So I know you all are wondering...what's the due date?? If I go online a get a few different answers anywhere from the 12th to the 16th of May, and they always change it at the first doctor's appointment anyway. My first appointment is scheduled for October 9th, so I will let you know then.

I hope you all have a great weekend!
