Ultrasound

Well we had our ultrasound today! I know you are all dying to know what it is soooooooooooooooo......

IT'S A......

BABY!!!

Hehe...guess ya'll are going to have to wait another 20 weeks. Come on, now you really didn't expect us to find out. We didn't even let the doctor look on the screen during that part, so there is absolutely no way for us to know before the big day.

It was fun to see the baby on the tv screen. Tyler went with us and he thought it was cool, but wasn't too overly excited about it. He likes hearing the heartbeat. The baby's hands were up by his/her face and it was fun to watch the baby move and feel it at the same time. Every thing is looking good and the Dr. is hoping for a baby the same size that Tyler was (just under 7lbs).

I will post more pictures from the holidays soon.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

and a Happy New Year!!
Merry Christmas!
Love the Taylors

Monday, December 10

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...

Well we have been busy around here. After Thanksgiving I started pulling out all the Christmas decorations. It's neat finding places to put things in the new house. Not the same ole spot it's been in for the past 5 yrs.
Mike put up the lights on the house this weekend. This is our first time putting outdoor lights up and it was nice not having to do it in the snow. As you can see in the picture Mike was wearing short sleeves!!
We have also been busy doing things around the house. Tyler got an early Christmas present...a BIG BOY BED! (Thanks Grandpa & Grandma!) So we have been putting that together and just finished painting his new room last night. I will post pictures after Christmas when we should have more decorations up. He did sleep in his bed on Friday night...all night long!! We haven't been able to put him in there again yet because of the painting, but hopefully this week we will. He loves it! I just hope that the transition goes well and he will learn that when it's bed time he will have to stay in bed.

I found a queen bed on Craig's list this weekend, so now we have an extra bed for company! Now our parents don't have to sleep on the air mattress!! I know you guys are real excited about that! Sorry mom, I didn't find it before Thanksgiving, but now the next time you come you'll be sleeping in a real bed :). So this week we are going to be rearranging the bedrooms and getting things all set for Christmas. I can't believe there are only two weeks left!!

Hope you all are getting in the holiday spirit! I know I am!

Thanksgiving wrap-up

We hope y'all had a good Thanksgiving, we sure enjoyed it! I had my mom and sister visiting from Michigan and made my first ever Thanksgiving dinner (with mom's help of course). Everything turned out great and we ate a lot!
Meagan helped with the potatoes.

Mom testing the food.

Mike watching the Lions.

Even Tyler helped with the cleanup.

Here are a couple pictures of the table decorations.

Of course the day after thanksgiving we got up to go shopping, we didn't up too early though, left about 6 am. I got some shopping done, but still need a few more ideas. I also got some decorations up. It was nice to have my mom's help and another "woman's" eye. (Mike thinks things look good anywhere).

In other news I have started to feel the baby move around in my belly these past few days. It has been exciting to actually start to 'feel' pregnant. I have been popping out a little more too...it's not fun finding clothes to wear. My maternity clothes are still too big and my regular clothes are too tight. I guess I'm in that awkward stage. I'm 4 months now only another 6 to go!!

Hope everyone is getting into the holiday season!

Fall is Here

Well fall has definitely shown up around here. It has been cooler, our yard is filled with leaves, and the colors are beautiful! This weekend we decided to take advantage of the beauty and headed up Green Mountain for a hike. They have a nice trail up there we got a lot of nice pictures.
Here is a picture of the covered bridge along the trail.

Tyler loved running on the trail, we had to keep an eye on him though. He would try to go close to the lake to touch the water and when the trail sloped down he ran so fast that I could not keep up.

Once we got to the bridge Tyler thought it was very neat. He loved to look out the windows.

There were a lot of geese in the lake and there were people throwing bread for them to eat. They even let Tyler throw a few pieces. He kept saying "quack, quack...hi ducks." Then when he heard them "honk" he thought it was so neat and laughed the next time they did it.
They had a little fall scene at the entrance of the park where we took a couple pictures.

We hope that you are enjoying your fall season, we sure are! Weekends like this remind me why fall is my favorite season of the year.

Six Years Together

This past weekend was our 6th wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's already been that long. We were able to go out to dinner together, alone, and ate at Longhorn Steakhouse and had a very nice time. Here's a picture of us before dinner.
Tyler had fun too! He was able to visit with his friends, Caleb and Nathan, while we were out. Their parents were nice enough to watch him while we celebrated...thanks Josh and Jamie!

Little Farmer Boy

Well Tyler was a "little farmer boy" for Halloween last night. We didn't go trick or treating we decided to go to the family fun fest at our church. It was a lot of fun and Tyler played games and won lots of candy. I would have a lot more pictures, but the batteries I put in my camera before we left were duds. I was so bummed! But I did snap a couple in the house before we left (and before I put in the duds).
Isn't he just the cutest little farm boy you've ever seen?!?!?!

Tate's Farm

Last weekend we went to Tate's Farm with a group from church. We had a bunch of fun! It was kinda like the apple farms we go to in Michigan, but with no apples.
When we got there Tyler was off to the toys. He went down the slides, rode on a horse swing, and of course played in a tractor!

We took some time to get a few pictures in front of this cute little pumpkin house!

And then Tyler and his friends Caleb Davis and Nathan James posed for a picture!

Then we were off on a hayride! It was fun exploring the farm, Tyler liked seeing the farm equipment, and we even sang songs!
After the hayride we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows. It was funny when we gave him a roasted marshmallow he did not like it. He was "all done" after one bite, more for mommy! But he did have a bite of a smore and liked that!

One of the fun things was letting Tyler pet the farm animals. They let you in the cages with them and Tyler was not shy at all. He walked right up to those pigs saying, "oink, oink, oink." It was too cute.

We have a funny story about these puppies. They were so cute and Tyler was running around with them and saying "hi," and waving when one puppy (the white one below) knocked him over. The puppy got on top of him and was nibbling on his hair and ear, then Tyler started screaming. Mike and I were laughing so hard. Even after that Tyler still wanted to play with them and was laughing.

We also had fun playing in the "corn crib." It was a bin filled with corn and the kids would jump in it and try to walk in the corn. It was funny.

It was something fun to do on a nice fall evening. Here are a couple other family shots we took.

Family Picnic

On Saturday morning we went to a Family Pincnic at my dad's work. Tyler had lots of fun, there were blow up games for him to play on.

He even went down a couple big slides with daddy. And let me tell you, they were fast! He had his first ride on a train and loved it, we went twice!
And Tyler even tried cotton candy for the first time! He didn't like it too much at first, but then started asking for more.

It was such a beautiful day for a picnic, the weather was warm and the sky was clear. We of course had some good southern barbeque too!

Transformers

One of Mike's favorite movies and toys when he was a kid was Transformers. So we had to rent the new movie this weekend. We enjoyed it, and Mike filled me in on all the details. Daddy even let Tyler watch a little bit of the movie. Tyler just kept going "Woooahh!!!" He thought it was cool watching the cars and trucks change into robots. Here is a clip from him watching it.

The Big Day is....

May 9th, 2008!!!

Mike and I went to the Doctor this morning and we got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. The baby is 9 weeks and 4 days old, which is more than we figured so the due date is sooner, which works for me! I'm sure I will be late again, but you never know!
Here is an ultrasound picture from this morning. We saw the baby move and his or her little arms and legs. It was so cute!

I haven't been feeling the greatest lately, but hopefully in a few more weeks that will all be over with.

We had a great trip to Michigan and had a good time at the wedding and celebrating my 27th birthday on Friday night. We went to Chucky Cheese! My first time ever having a birthday party there. The things mom's will do for the kids. We had a great time though, it's been a while since I played arcade games. I got a new camera for my birthday so after I get that all set up on here I will download some pictures for you all to see.

Hopefully it will not be so long inbetween my next posts. This is the longest I have sat down on the computer in a month or so. I will try to be better and keep you updated more often.

Here it is!

Okay here it is, for those of you who have been wondering what this special picture will be. I actually have a video and a picture so here it is....

I'm PREGNANT!!!!

A lot of you already know this exciting news, but just in case you didn't I wanted to make it public. I'm not good at keeping this a secret. I was going to wait until I had my first appointment, but I can't wait that long. I am about 6 weeks along now. So I know you all are wondering...what's the due date?? If I go online a get a few different answers anywhere from the 12th to the 16th of May, and they always change it at the first doctor's appointment anyway. My first appointment is scheduled for October 9th, so I will let you know then.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Dining Room and Scrap Room

Here are some pictures of the dining room, which is open to the kitchen. You can see we fit our big table in there so that's nice. Also there are three long windows that let in plenty of light. Our pantry is in the back corner, there was no other place to put it besides downstairs, and I didn't want to walk down there every time I needed something.
Here are some pictures of my scrap room. It's not the way I would like it, but it's working for now. Mike put up that cabinet for me and I made use of the microwave cart underneath it. There is a door that goes out to the backyard, but we don't use it much. It pretty much acts as a window for me.

I still need to clean up other area's of the house so I can take pictures. But as I promised a special picture tomorrow!!! Stay tuned!
