Well yesterday I wrote about Kalen being a big girl, and I might jinx myself, but Tyler has been being a big boy lately. We have been putting him in a pull-up at night and for naps and for the past few days he has been waking up dry! So here he is showing off his lollipop for being a big boy and making Mommy and Daddy proud!

Big Girl
I finally found some table food that this Big Girl can eat…BANNANAS! She loves to eat little chunks of them! She is getting better with her sippy cup too. Mike gave her 3oz of formula on Friday night, which is a big improvement from where she was a few weeks ago.
Kalen has been doing “Big Girl” by herself for a couple weeks now. I just say, “Where’s my big girl?” And up go the arms with a big smile! Too Cute!

Wet Burritos
We tried this new recipe the other night and I wanted to share. It’s an easy and a good one! Mike’s mom gave it to my sister at her wedding shower and Jessica has been telling me about it ever since! Mike and I were both surprised that we never had it before.
Wet Burritos
Ingredients:
| 1lb Hamburger Meat | Cheese |
| Refried Beans (1-2 cans) | Lettuce |
| Taco Seasoning | Tomatoes |
| 1 Enchilada Sauce | Onion |
| 2 jars Chicken Gravy | Sour Cream |
| Tortillas (burrito size) | Taco Sauce (optional) |
Directions:
Brown meat in skillet, drain. Add taco seasoning and beans. In separate saucepan heat gravy and enchilada sauce. Fill tortillas with meat and beans, roll and put into a 9x13 baking dish. Pour the sauce over tortillas and bake at 350 for 3o minutes. Add cheese the last 15 minutes. Then serve with toppings!
Thanks Jess and Mom!!

Jamie Scraps – January
I love the blues, grays, and greens in the Jamie Scraps kit this month!
I thought these pictures from when we went to Cathedral Caverns went perfect with the papers! It’s a double page layout.
And these silly pictures of Tyler. Look at his mowhawk.
And here are the cards.
I just love that flower card. All you have to do is add some patterned paper to the back and your done! Easy and pretty!

New Websites
I have a couple new websites to share with you!
The first is a website I set up for Project 365. I wanted to have a place where I can post the picture of the day. I’m so excited about this and I know a lot of you are far far away in the land of (freezing cold) Michigan, so I wanted to be able to share them with you too!
The next one is a website that Jamie and I have come up with! With the news that Simple Scrapbooks is no longer publishing we decided to keep the “simple” idea alive with this new website, Real Life Scraps. We have a lot of things planned for this so be sure to check back every week for something new!
Be sure to pop on into these two sites and let me know what you think!

Tyler’s Party
We had a great time celebrating Tyler’s Birthday on Saturday. We had a couple of his friends over! Here they are eating lunch.Tyler had fun opening all his presents! He got everything a boy could want, trucks, tractors, play guns, baseball mitts, basketballs, a play shaving set, and outdoor toys.
Tyler had an “All Star” Birthday, so I tried to keep things sporty. Here is the cake that I came up with! I used crushed Oreo’s for the topping.
Tyler liked everyone singing to him.
Then of course we had a lot of playing going on! Here are the boys being crazy!
We had a really fun time and I think the 3 year old birthday party has been the best so far. Tyler understood what was going on and was so excited that his friends got to come over for his birthday!

We are going to do something small with him tonight and then on Saturday he is having his birthday party!
Happy Birthday Tyler, We Love You!

Scrap Pages and a Project
Here are my pages from Jamie Scraps December kit! I love the colors in this kit and it went really well with my Christmas pictures from last year! And look at that cute little postcard tag you get it the kit! I was so excited when I saw that, I knew that I wanted to use it on a layout with Tyler’s picture that we sent in our Christmas cards that year.
And I also made a few cards!
And a couple little gift tags for presents.
I still have a lot left over from the kit and I’m planning on scrapbooking some more Christmas pictures from last year!
Have you heard of Project 365? Well if you have talked to me recently I’m sure you have. I am so excited about doing this project for 2009 and I got a kit to make it all happen.
The deal is you take a picture every day of the year and write a few things down about your day. I think that this will be so neat for the kids to look back on!
Yesterday I worked on putting the album together and now I have to just make sure that I keep up with things and get my pictures printed relatively soon after I take them. My friend Jamie and I are going to do this, are any of you planning on it too? I saw that there is a free download for some of the items in the kit, so you could print out some of the journal cards for free!
Anyway that’s some of my scrappy news for now! I’m hoping to get in my scrap room some more this week so hopefully I’ll have more to share soon!

I know I’m late, but Happy New Year!
After the holidays we got right back into the groove and have been very busy. We have added another little kiddo to the mix too! Hailey will be with us for the next few months till she starts kindergarten, so I’m sure you will be seeing her in more pictures. She is 5 and a joy to have around the house. Tyler loves having a playmate, and Kalen has someone else paying her some attention so she’s loves that!
We had a great visit with Mike’s parents and brother! We had Christmas all over again when they came, I don’t know how they fit it all in the car!
And New Year’s Day my Dad and Angie came over for dinner and some football.
I wanted to get some pictures of the kids with Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Matt while they were here, so we headed off to the park one morning.
And here are a couple with Uncle Matt…aka Tyler’s twin…they look so much alike!
As you can tell I have been having fun taking and editing pictures! I got a pen tablet for Christmas and it has made editing so much easier! Here are a few more from the park…as if this post isn’t picture heavy already!
Hope everyone’s 2009 is off to a great start!

The Last Christmas Recap - #3
We had Christmas dinner at my Dad and Angie’s. We also celebrated Jordan’s birthday. Tyler thought it was neat that Jordan and Jesus have the same birthday!
Kalen getting “the claw.”
After dinner we opened a few more presents.
I love this picture of my Dad and Kalen.
After that we went back home to get some rest and play with all the new toys.
All in all it was a great Christmas! Our holiday’s are not over yet, Mike’s parents and brother just got it town this afternoon!
I hope you all have a Happy New Year and we will see you in 2009!
