Indoor Playground

It was pretty cold most the time that we were in Michigan so we found some fun things to do inside. We went to the Chelsea TreeHouse one day. The kids could play and their was coffee and snacks for the adults! I loved that they had a padded play place for the babies, and Kalen loved it too!

   Daddy let her go down the slide and she went down with her hands in the air! Already a little dare devil!

It was a little harder to get pictures of Tyler!

He was on the go the whole time! He had his Uncle Matt with him too and they both kept busy!

There was another play place like this close by called Jungle Java. We went there on a Saturday so it was very busy and packed with kids. I think we need a place like this in Huntsville! It was so fun!

It’s been a while

Sorry it’s been so long since I updated! It’s been crazy around here the last part of March. So I will try to get back into updating regularly. There is a lot I could update with, but I’m going to start with the most exciting news.

Tyler and Kalen want to introduce their cousin Cole!

We went all the way to Michigan to meet him just after he was born! Here is Tyler and Kalen when they got to see him.

It was so cute! Tyler was very gentle and talked to Cole in that sweet high “baby talk” voice, and Kalen was very curious.

We had a good visit while we were there and I have a lot more pictures, I hope to get them up soon!

Happy Birthday Mike

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!

It’s the BIG 30!! Even if your in denial and want to stay 29 for one more year. :) You have accomplished a lot in your 20’s and I can’t wait to see what happens in the 30’s!

Thanks for being a wonderful husband and the coolest daddy ever!!

A Few Pages

that I have done recently. A lot of these layouts were based on Sketches from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. Love that site!

I used a divided page protector for this one. I love how these come together so quickly and they always turn out cute!

I am getting ready to go on a Girls Scrap Weekend with a few of my friends from church. We leave tomorrow and are going down to Gulf Shores till Sunday! I can’t wait, I’m so excited. This will be my first time leaving Kalen overnight though :( I think she will do fine, it’s just me who will be worrying all weekend. She hasn’t done very well with a bottle or sippy cup, so we will see how that goes. Just yesterday she started drinking some diluted juice from her sippy cup, but until then she would just bite on the top and not know what to do with it. She does like to eat though, so she will be fine…hear me trying to talk myself into it? Kalen is a daddy’s girl, so she will love a weekend with Daddy.

Snow storm

Did you hear about our snow storm we had over the weekend?? Sunday morning we woke up to this:

That’s a lot of snow for Alabama!!

Tyler and Daddy wanted to play for a little bit in it.

Well we had fun while it lasted! After we got out of church the snow was all melted! Kalen did not play in the snow, she went straight in the car with blankets all over her, I didn’t want her getting cold!   It’s still windy and FREEZING, but we haven’t had anymore snow.

Favorite Toy

This little pop up toy is Kalen’s favorite right now!

Big Brother helps pop them up! And she gets so excited and giggles!

Then she pushes them back down.

Little Sweeties

Before Valentine’s Day I wanted to take a few pictures of the kids so we could send them to Grandparent’s. I really wanted to get a picture of Tyler and Kalen together, but that was just not working out! In the 10 seconds that they were happy I couldn’t get them both in focus, and then one of them got upset, so I will have to try another time.

Here are a couple of Tyler.

This one was a little grainy, but I put a vintage action on it and I think it turned out a little better.

And since Kalen turned 9 months old the day after I took these I figure this could be her 9 month photo shoot!

And I got some of Hailey too, for her to give to her Mom for Valentine’s Day.

And here are my attempts at getting all three together.

Yeah, Kalen wasn’t having any of that!

Valentine’s Day

We had a great Valentine’s Day with the kids! Tyler was a little sick that day, but other than that we had a nice relaxing day. Here are some highlights of the kids opening their gifts.

I took some pictures of them a few days before to send to their Grandparent’s and I think they have received them by now so I will share them soon!

Jamie Scraps-February

The February kit is up for sale at Jamie Scraps! I love all the embellishments that are in this kit! Here is what I made this month.

I recently got some pictures printed of Kalen and I immediately knew what I wanted to do when I saw this chipboard bird!

Even with all the pinks and reds in the kit I was able to make a “boy” page. I love the touch of green, and look at that polka dot ribbon! So cute!
