For the Grandma’s

Did you know that this past Sunday was Grandparent’s day? I decided to use that as inspiration and made a couple scrapbook pages.

Here is one with Grandma Jan. I used a sketch from 52 Sketches for this one with Grandma Taylor.Happy belated Grandparent’s Day to you both (and to the Grandpa’s too)!

My first digital page

Well, I finally did it. I opened up Photoshop and figured out how to scrap digitally. I have been wanting to try it forever! It took me a long time, but I really love the results. My eyes are still hurting from looking at the computer screen all afternoon yesterday.I made a family page for this years Bright Lights yearbook. Bright Lights is a home school, preschool program that is affiliated with our church. Since Tyler is not going to preschool, we have decided to do this. They offer field trips and play dates for the kids and we have really enjoyed it!

I don’t think I will be getting rid of my paper scrapbooking any time soon, but I’m sure I will be trying this out a little more often.

Go Blue!!

We are all pretty excited that football season is starting!! We are trying to teach Kalen early to say, “GO BLUE!!”and, “TOUCHDOWN!!!”Hope everyone has a great football Saturday, and a good long weekend!

Some Recent Pages

I was able to get a little scrap time in the other day. Love these pictures of Tyler feeding the ducks from last fall.I joined in on the last challenge over at Scrap Whisper’s. It started with one layout to scraplift and went down from person to person. I was the last person to get the layout and this is what I came up with. This next one is a sketch from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks.Here are a few pages I did while I was at my Mom’s in July. I used a Paper Posies kit, which I loved, and it kept things simple for me! I did one layout for Tyler’s 2nd birthday and then used a divided page protector for the rest of the pictures.Now I think that I have caught you up on all my scrappy pages!

Looking back through these I realize that they mostly about Tyler!!! I better get printing some pictures of Kalen PRONTO!

She Loves Her Daddy

Kalen loves to give her Daddy kisses. And sometimes I get a little jealous that Mommy doesn't get them as much as he does, until I come across pictures like this!So sweet! They just adore each other!

On the Farm

While we were in Michigan we had a little photo shoot with the kids on a local farm. Aunt Michelle took most of the pictures, but I was able to get a couple too:)

Here are a few of my favorites: Tyler giving Kalen one of his typical hugs, almost strangling her in the process.I love this one! I was tickling them in-between shots so they had “real” smiles!Then, of course, Kalen had to change her outfit. I loved the rustic setting! I need to find a place like that around here.

Fishing

One of Tyler’s favorite activities when we were in Michigan was going to the Trout Farm. He absolutely LOVED it, and we loved watching him get so excited! At the trout farm it’s pretty much guaranteed that you are going to catch some fish! And he did catch a lot of fish!

   Look at how excited he was! He caught them for the most part all by himself! Grandpa maybe had to help him hook them a couple times, but other than that it was all Ty! It was so much fun to watch his big smile and laughing while he had a fish on!Tyler would have kept fishing all afternoon, but we had to stop him after 5 (they cost money ya know). That was enough for dinner and a little extra. Did I mention that he was scared of the fish? He wanted nothing to do with them once they were out of the water! He did touch one with his finger, but that was it! I think this is an activity every Grandpa should take his Grandson to do!! It was a Big Success!!

Girl with Pigtails

Kalen has pigtails in for the first time today! We think it’s just adorable!!

By the way, I know I’ve been MIA and I’m going to try to get back into blogging this week. July just FLEW right by! This kids and I just came home from Florida and I’m trying to get back into the routine of things!

Home Again

We made it home from Michigan safe and sound. Had a great time with our family and took LOTS of pictures! 946 to be exact, and that was after I deleted the blurry ones!! So I’ll have lots to share soon.

Packing
