My first digital page

Well, I finally did it. I opened up Photoshop and figured out how to scrap digitally. I have been wanting to try it forever! It took me a long time, but I really love the results. My eyes are still hurting from looking at the computer screen all afternoon yesterday.Yearbook Page 09I made a family page for this years Bright Lights yearbook. Bright Lights is a home school, preschool program that is affiliated with our church. Since Tyler is not going to preschool, we have decided to do this. They offer field trips and play dates for the kids and we have really enjoyed it!

I don’t think I will be getting rid of my paper scrapbooking any time soon, but I’m sure I will be trying this out a little more often.

I was able to get a little scrap time in the other day. Love these pictures of Tyler feeding the ducks from last fall.feeding ducksI joined in on the last challenge over at Scrap Whisper’s. It started with one layout to scraplift and went down from person to person. I was the last person to get the layout and this is what I came up with.fulloflife This next one is a sketch from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks.toytrainsHere are a few pages I did while I was at my Mom’s in July. On the Farm

While we were in Michigan we had a little photo shoot with the kids on a local farm. Aunt Michelle took most of the pictures, but I was able to get a couple too:)

Here are a few of my favorites:IMG_7818aIMG_7825aIMG_7839aDSC_0013a Tyler giving Kalen one of his typical hugs, almost strangling her in the process.DSC_0036bDSC_0026bDSC_0071bI love this one! I was tickling them in-between shots so they had “real” smiles!DSC_0177cThen, of course, Kalen had to change her outfit.IMG_7888b IMG_7890cDSC_0234bI loved the rustic setting! I need to find a place like that around here.

Fishing

One of Tyler’s favorite activities when we were in Michigan was going to the Trout Farm. He absolutely LOVED it, and we loved watching him get so excited! At the trout farm it’s pretty much guaranteed that you are going to catch some fish!IMG_7971 IMG_7983And he did catch a lot of fish!

IMG_7972IMG_7977   Look at how excited he was! He caught them for the most part all by himself! Grandpa maybe had to help him hook them a couple times, but other than that it was all Ty! It was so much fun to watch his big smile and laughing while he had a fish on!IMG_8000Tyler would have kept fishing all afternoon, but we had to stop him after 5 (they cost money ya know). That was enough for dinner and a little extra.IMG_8013 Did I mention that he was scared of the fish? He wanted nothing to do with them once they were out of the water! He did touch one with his finger, but that was it!IMG_8020a I think this is an activity every Grandpa should take his Grandson to do!! It was a Big Success!!
