Domino's Pizza

Yesterday I got to take Kalen to make her own pizza at Domino's! She was so excited!!

If you remember last year, she had to stay in the stroller.

This time I forgot my camera, so iPhone pictures it is.

She got to pat out the dough.

And put on all the toppings she wanted. She picked pepperoni, ham, pineapple, and bacon! YUM!

Mommy got to make a pizza too!

Then we waited for our pizzas to cook.

And we took them home for lunch and shared with Tyler and Daddy! Kalen had so much fun and was telling Tyler all about it after school. It was so fun to take her to do something special!

Pizza Boy

Last week, Tyler got to go on a field trip to Domino’s and learn how to make pizza! He was sooooo excited, especially when he learned that Daddy used to make and deliver pizza’s when he was in high school and college.

First: Spread the dough out.IMG_1455

Second: Put the pizza sauce on.IMG_1456

Third: Smile for Mommy.IMG_1458

Fourth: Sprinkle the cheese on.IMG_1460

Fifth: Choose the toppings and spread them on. Tyler picked pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. Which is funny because he hasn’t been wanting any of that on his pizza lately.IMG_1463

Sixth: Put in the “perfect pizza oven” to cook.IMG_1466

Seventh: Try and wait patiently for the pizza to come out the other side.IMG_1468

Tyler had such a good time, and I really enjoyed taking him! He was a very good boy and did such a great job. Afterwards we went to play with friends and eat our pizza. Daddy met us for lunch and Tyler was so excited to share his pizza with him, maybe that’s why he put all those toppings on.

Where was Kalen?IMG_1452She stayed out of the way in her stroller, but she wasn’t too happy about that. Maybe next time girlie!

Our First Gingerbread House

This year I decided to get a Gingerbread house for us to decorate. I figured the kids were old enough to enjoy it and it was one of my favorite things to do at Christmas time growing up.

Mom and Dad helped with the frosting and then Tyler did the decorating with the candy.IMG_0107 He was very careful with his placement of the little candies, he didn’t want any of the same colors next to each other.IMG_0110 Here his is telling us how he wants to decorate the roof.IMG_0109 Kalen tried to help a little, but she just ended up knocking the candy off the house and then putting them in her mouth!IMG_0114 Tyler enjoyed some of the leftover candies after the house was done.IMG_0115I think our first family gingerbread house came out pretty good! IMG_0119 It was such a fun activity, I’m sure we will be doing it again next year! Oh, and the best part was that the gingerbread house was pre-assembled!! So all you had to do was decorate! So easy!

It’s Starting To Feel A Lot Like Christmas…

Here are the kids in their Christmas outfits on Sunday.

We are pretty much all set for Christmas around here. I’m waiting on a few online orders for Mike and the kids, once I have those wrapped up I’ll be done! On today’s agenda is baking Christmas cookies and doing laundry. I figure I can fold while the cookies are in the oven. This year I’m making Peanut Butter Blossoms, Incredibles, Nut Cups, and Spritz cookies. What are you making? Let me know…I always love a new cookie recipe!

Last night we had our Annual Winterlude at Church. It was a wonderful concert and really put me in the Christmas spirit!

Here are some more pictures of Kalen.

I’m still trying to figure out the settings on my camera. I took these at night and in the basement and they came out way to yellow and half of them were blurry. I’ll get it one of these days!

Garage Sale Find

cookiepress

Now that's a good "cooky" press! I don't know how many of the new plastic ones I have gone through. The always break on me after the first batch of cookies, but this one shouldn't break! My mother has had her's for years!

I didn't find much else that day, hopefully this weekend will be better.
