Home Again

We made it home from Michigan safe and sound. Had a great time with our family and took LOTS of pictures! 946 to be exact, and that was after I deleted the blurry ones!! So I’ll have lots to share soon.

Packing

We are getting packed, almost ready to go! Kalen’s a big help!!I think she’s trying to tell me that all the Grandparents want to see is her and Tyler.Get ready Michigan, here we come!!

Busy, busy, busy

We are on the go here, constantly doing something! This week is Vacation Bible School at church and I am teaching the 2 year olds. I have helped out with VBS before, but this is my first time teaching, and I have been loving it! Tyler and Kalen love it too! Kalen is asleep just after we get out of the parking lot so I know that they are keeping her busy!

It just seems like June has flown by! We have been swimming, going to the movies, to book club, and boating. Next week will probably slow down for a little bit, but at the end of the week the kids and I are going on a road trip to Michigan!

I just wanted to let you know a little bit of what is going on here with us, and since I can’t have a post without pictures, here are some I took of Kalen at the beginning of the month in the backyard.

These next two crack me up! I love all her silly faces!  And these last two are “classic Kalen,” mouth wide open! Hope your summer is off to a great start!!

Tackle me!

One of Tyler’s favorite activities these days is playing football with daddy, or should I say playing tackle!And there are times when Tyler tackles daddy too! Then Tyler handed Kalen the ball and I said, “Aww, how sweet.” Then I realized he just did that so he could tackle her!   DADDY TO THE RESCUE! “My Hero!” Coco tried stealing the ball! Yeah, he got tackled too!This is just one of the many fun summer activities that we have been enjoying! I’ll share more soon!

The Presents (and the last birthday post)

After cake (and a quick bath for Kalen) we opened presents! Kalen was interested for only a little bit, so we had to work fast! She got a lot of great gifts and a TON of clothes! I think the clothes are more a gift for me though, I love dressing her up all cute! :) Thanks to everyone for the gifts, she has already worn some of the clothes and loves the toys!

The Cake

Kalen had her own mini cake with her name on it and everything. She loved when we sung her Happy Birthday and clapped when we finished. We tried to get her to blow out the candle, but she was just trying to touch it so Tyler and I helped. Then we stripped her down and let her go at it! This was her first taste of cake and chocolate…I think you’ll be able to tell from the pictures that she liked it!

She must have a love for chocolate like her mom! Look at that face!!She made a mess and loved every bit of it! Mission Accomplished!!!Sending my thanks to Jamie! She took almost all of these pictures!!

A Polka Dot Party

Sorry I was going to post sooner, but our internet has been out!

I decided to go with a pink/green Polka Dot theme for Kalen’s party. It was so fun planning a “girly” party! I already can’t wait for next year! Here are some pictures of the decor. I think she liked it! And plus her dress matched perfectly :)Grandpa Bob, Grandma Angie, Ms. Yvonne, Hailey, Mr. Josh, Mrs. Jamie, Caleb, Nate, and Emma Lee all came to celebrate with us! We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and played outside for a little bit.

The cupcakes were a big hit with the kids and Kalen loved her little cake! I have more pictures from that, but I think it needs a post of it’s own, so I’ll be back soon with those!

Birthday Girl

Here are a few pictures of the Birthday Girl just before her party.  Big Brother had to get in a kiss! Mom had to steal a kiss too! There’s nothin like those big sloppy kisses! :)Daddy’s little girl!
