It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...

Well we have been busy around here. After Thanksgiving I started pulling out all the Christmas decorations. It's neat finding places to put things in the new house. Not the same ole spot it's been in for the past 5 yrs.
Mike put up the lights on the house this weekend. This is our first time putting outdoor lights up and it was nice not having to do it in the snow. As you can see in the picture Mike was wearing short sleeves!!
We have also been busy doing things around the house. Tyler got an early Christmas present...a BIG BOY BED! (Thanks Grandpa & Grandma!) So we have been putting that together and just finished painting his new room last night. I will post pictures after Christmas when we should have more decorations up. He did sleep in his bed on Friday night...all night long!! We haven't been able to put him in there again yet because of the painting, but hopefully this week we will. He loves it! I just hope that the transition goes well and he will learn that when it's bed time he will have to stay in bed.

I found a queen bed on Craig's list this weekend, so now we have an extra bed for company! Now our parents don't have to sleep on the air mattress!! I know you guys are real excited about that! Sorry mom, I didn't find it before Thanksgiving, but now the next time you come you'll be sleeping in a real bed :). So this week we are going to be rearranging the bedrooms and getting things all set for Christmas. I can't believe there are only two weeks left!!

Hope you all are getting in the holiday spirit! I know I am!

your tree looks nice...Looks like you have the same wooden red berries on yours as I do on mine...how cute Ty got a new big boy bed...I never really had too much troubles with my boy's transitioning from crib to the big boy bed...so good luck...Let me know how it goes. I just remember trying to keep it as much as the same routine as possible. Let me know if I can be of any help for tips...
Yeah I guess you could say we are in the spirit of Christmas...we had the tree and decorations up the day before Thanksgiving! Only because it worked for both of us that day and plus we had my family here for Thanksgiving and wanted them to see everything...:)
Can't wait to see more photos...of Ty's new room, cool! I bet he's excitted...
Like Jess, I was unable to view the last photos you posted on this post...

Glad to hear that Tyler did well in his "big boy" bed last week.

I just wanted to clarify something...I got a phone call from someone today saying that Bri was 'rubbing it in' the fact that it was 70 something degrees when I put up the Christmas lights. I just wanted to say I decided to change out of my shorts and put jeans on as to not rub it in. Its not all peaches and cream here either 80 degrees today felt uncomfortable, but God gave grace to endure and have a good attitude about it.

Love you All

It's not normally 70 degrees here in December, but chances are he won't ever have to put up Christmas lights in the snow as long as yall live here!
